Maryland regulators underline deadline when medical marijuana dispensaries must open

Maryland regulators cautioned medical marijuana companies they must open their dispensaries by Sept. 30 or see their approvals rescinded.

The warning, issued in a state bulletin, pertains primarily to 26 companies that stay in preapproval stage, in response to The Baltimore Sun.

Roughly 76 licensed MMJ dispensaries have already opened their doorways, the newspaper reported.

A complete of 102 dispensaries have been supposed to start out doing enterprise by December 2017, when gross sales launched in Maryland.

The state’s program has proved strong regardless of some MMJ companies operating into launch challenges.
