A Dartmouth, N.S., man with a bodily incapacity is preventing for the correct to smoke medicinal pot in a smoke-free condominium, as he takes his battle to the Nova Scotia Supreme Court.
Philip Bennett, 57, was evicted from his house on Friday after dropping a number of authorized challenges on the provincial Residential Tenancies Board and small claims courtroom.
That night time, he slept in his motorized wheelchair out within the woods, which was made worse by the very fact it was raining.
“I had to cut a garbage bag to put it over my head,” he advised CTV News Atlantic.
Bennett has since taken up short-term residence at a motel, after receiving cash from members of the Dartmouth’s medical hashish group.
