Oklahoma Law Enforcement, Business Coalition Forms to Fight Medical Marijuana Question

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — A coalition that features regulation enforcement, prosecutors and members of the enterprise and medical group is opposing a medical hashish query on Oklahoma’s June 26, 2018, main election poll.

The group, referred to as SQ 788 is Not Medical, registered as a vast political motion committee on Tuesday, May 15, 2018, with the Oklahoma Ethics Commission. It consists of some politically highly effective organizations, together with the District Attorneys Council, Oklahoma Sheriffs’ Association, Oklahoma State Medical Association and The State Chamber.

The group maintains the state query is just too broadly written and doesn’t embrace sufficient safeguards to shield landlords, employers, and municipalities from regulating the exercise of marijuana license holders.

Supporters of the query say sick individuals ought to have entry to the medicinal advantages of hashish. They gathered sufficient signatures to qualify the medical marijuana query for the election poll.
