Province Unlikely to Meet Promise of 25 Cannabis Shops by April 1, Analysis Shows

Ontario is unlikely to meet its goal of having 25 privately owned hashish outlets open by April 1, an evaluation of licence purposes exhibits.

Four of the lottery winners who gained the best to apply for the coveted first wave of licences haven’t even introduced their places but.

For these 4, from Toronto and the GTA, the deadline appears unattainable. The public is allowed 15 days to remark after places are posted. Lottery winners have 5 days to reply to these feedback. That’s a complete of 20 days, and as of Thursday there have been solely 17 days remaining till April 1.

For one other 5 shops, the general public remark interval ends between March 19 and March 27, which is tight timing.
